Meet and greets are awarded the week of the show. the M&Gs are NOT first come first serve; they are awarded on a lottery basis. If you are awarded a M&G, it is good for 1 person.
I am confused what you mean about giving up your ticket(s). If you get a M&G, you get a M&G pass in addition to your ticket. You must purchase a ticket to go to the M&G because the M&Gs take place inside the venue.
Let me know if you have more questions 'cause I really don't understand what you meant by giving up your ticket.
