Headed to Nashville on a roadtrip in a few weeks. Total rookie looking for advice from veterans (as I value Church fans' opinions!) Already got our Opry tix! Any other haunts or words of wisdom? Thanks Choir :)
country music hall of fame is cool and the johnny cash museum. also a lot of greats worked there way up from the local bars in Nashville the stage, tootsies just to name a few.do alittle online research before you go.
The Ryman is a must..and yes Johnny Cash. The honky tonks on Broadway are fun, Tootsies, Honky Tonk Central and Second Fiddle are my favorites. If you head to East Nashville check out the Red Door it's a great bar. My list is long...
I really enjoy the Vanderbilt district as well, Winners and Loses are great. I've caught some great bands at Winners. Nothing beats the "classic" dive bar feel like Losers.
All the food is excellent....Jacks BBQ is good but it's a tourist hot spot and you will wait. I never leave the city without stopping in at Pucketts. I have entire list of great restaurants but since it's your first trip you..
may want to focus on the bars and music. If not, let me know! Top of my head is Flyte, Whiskey Kitchen, Palms and Virago. Have fun!
....or the hot dog stand in front of Legends, depending what time you want to eat :)
Thanks so much! This definitely gives us a great jumping off point!
