So I've got GA Pit tickets for tomorrow's show at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. I also won a M&G pass. I want to make sure we get stageside in the pit, the problem is, with the new paperless tix system, the rest of my party can't get in to the venue without me, so if I go attend the M&G and they just hang around until I'm out, theres a chance we'll be in the midst of the pit as opposed to right up on the stage. I'm supposed to pick up my M&G pass an hour before doors open.
How do the M&G's usually work? How long before show? How long do they last?
Call me crazy, but I'd rather be stageside for the show than stand in line to get a handshake and quick picture.
What do yall think?
You have got to be kidding. Half of the talk on this board is how to get a meet and greet. If you got one you better use it. I got a meet and greet on my first attempt back in 2009 when Eric wasn't this big. I have been to like 10 shows since and put in for a meet and greet on each show and have never been chosen again. This may be your only chance to speak to the man shake his hand get an autograph and picture and tell him what you think about him and his music ! People would kill for this chance. Go to the meet and greet !
I would not pass up the chance for a M&G. If you are coming with ppl, they can totally save your spot & you are set. You can enter the venue, hang out in the pit, go to your M&G and then should be able to get back, make friends with those around u, have them help save your spot. You will have the best of both worlds then M&G and Pit!! :)
Ah, see I was thinking the M&G's were about an hour before doors opened, so that works out great that they aren't until later. Thanks for all the info. After reading some of the stuff on this forum, I feel extremely fortunate to have gotten a M&G. I've been an EC fan for a LONG time, but just joined the Church Choir back in June and this was my first request. Looking forward to the show tonight!

Worked out great. I was literally front and center on the stage, friends held my spot while I went to the M&G, and I came right back. I told him we'd be waving or NC flag, and he said he'd look for it, well it got his attention....that was my boot he took on stage and signed. Awesome show, awesome experience. Can't wait till next time!

As far as I know M/g usually take place after the VIP thing gets out so around 8pm so you will already have your spot in the pit before you would have to go meet for the m/g your friends can always hold your spot up front. m/g only last about 20-30min and depending on where you are in line you could be in and out in minutes if your close to the front of that line. So i say take the opportunity to meet the man and have your friends save your spot up front!!
