I know that it is only October and we haven't even passed Halloween yet, but I think that we should try and get an early start on this years Christmas card exchange planning if anyone if interested in doing it. I think that we should come up with a deadline date for names to get put on the list so everybody can start receiving their cards sometime around the first or middle of December. Any idea on when that date should be? I would be happy to put together the list this year and email it to everybody. I know that people always look forward to getting mail, especially Christmas cards. Let me know what ya'll think!

I'm thinking that we could also make a private event on Facebook for the Choir members that don't frequent the board much. That way everybody has a chance to get their name on the list. We can just invite the Choir that we have on our FB.

I agree that the earlier we get it going, the better it'll be for everyone. What about names need to be submitted by October 15th? That way you'll (or I can, if you need me to) have time to get the list compiled and everyone should have at least a month to do what they're going to do?

Don't mean to ask a stupid question but what exactly is the Christmas card exchange? I've passed in the past because of the cost, but I'm interested in partaking this year. Do you have to make an EC/ECB Christmas card or what? Any details greatly appreciated!

The CCCE is the Choir Christmas Card Exchange and it's something we do every year. Basically, we swap addresses and send a card (homemade or storebought) to everyone one the list. You can put a little EC doodad in it, if you want, but are-by no means- obligated to do so. A lot of people make their own cards and include a M&G photo, a single shot of EC or the band. It's entirely up to you! The ONLY requirement is that you send to everyone on the list.

I think the sooner the better! We have less than 2 months till Christmas, and I don't know about everyone else, but sending cards kind of creeps up on me and I end up doing it last minute.
