I am concerned that there may not be a Pit/GA section for this tour. I will be the first to say that assigned seating at an ECB concert does not give then full effect. The 25 or so times I have seen these guys play I have been able to experience the full effect that the concert has to offer. There was only one time that I saw EC open for Charlie Daniels that had assigned seating. While the concert was cool, it lacked that excitement factor from having to stay in one confined area. I am hoping that there will be a PIT/GA choice when ordering my tickets. Anyone that has experienced it before will know why. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
I definitely agree that a pit/GA offers a kick-ass show experience, I disagree about seating causing a lack of excitement in the crowd. I think it has more to do with the venue than the seats. I like that everyone has a "space" - whether it be front row or sixth. Maybe it's just me, but when the music starts, I zone into the band/music and would rather have dancing room than elbows in my boobs or beer down my back. I have had GREAT EC/B shows with and without assigned seating - it has more to do with the attitude of the venue staff and the fans at the show!!
