I agree, the best parts of CMA Fest were Stage Black and seeing him at LP Field. The film was a great work in progress and alot funnier than I ever expected, it was nice to see that side of EC. His performance was electric and he was smiling the whole time. You could tell he was thrilled to be there. He emptied the house for the crowd and everyone gave back to him too.
OMG! That is crazy, I was at Ran's party too, and of course I remember the guy asking how long it would last but I didn't get a good look at him at either party. How ridiculous, wonder if he is that much of an *ss all the time or if his whole purpose was to come and be disruptive.
I left Ran's and took my friend back to the hotel and was so tempted to get in bed! LOL So I didn't get in line at Eric's till closer to 3.
I have no clue. He was at Miranda Lamberts party that morning being annoying then. He kept asking when it was going to be over b.c he had somewhere to be. So when he showed up at Eric's I was like oh you had to come bash him. He also had tape across Eric's name at Miranda's party. Which I thought was kind of twisted. I stand behind Eric on his rolling stone comment and I even had the brains enough to know that rolling stone of course cut things out and made it sound worse than it really was. I stood behind him when it came out and still do. Who cares who he pisses off. I am a Miranda and Blake fan I have been for years!! But I am sorry they say things and don't care who it offends. Why should Eric? What he said was true! I am sorry but it was true! No one knows Blake as a country artist now. Its he is the guy from the voice. But that is all over.
It was a long ass wait. I think we got in line at 2. But I am glad I attended. I cant wait to own a copy of the movie. He is my new number 1 b.c of that party. He cares about us as his fans and you can so tell that in the way he was talking. It was a nice vibe and I can say I am proud to be apart of a fan club that takes cares of the fans !! He is just amazing. Meeting him made it even more real for me!
Girl that is so awesome that you met him after! I would say I wish I had stuck around but I was so tired I was ready to sleep on the sidewalk. I almost skipped the party but thank god I didnt! It was so fantastic, I didn't know I could love the man anymore than I already did, but after listening to him answer questions I love him more!
It was so cool to feel like we were all just hanging out...and the video was awesome! It is going to be so good when its done. I thought it sounded odd at first but after seeing it I think it is such a cool idea! I loved seeing his family.
And we got signed posters on the way out! They are sweet.
What was up with the jerk asking the same question over and over about the whole reality tv crap? Seriously, I hope they kicked him out. So annoying!
so so sad that we did not get tickets to the fan club party - would love it if the fan club could see a little segment of the video?? Also, seeing him perform Saturday night on LP field was incredible - Springsteen with 65,000 (or more?) people holding up their cell phones was something I will never forget!!! I will keep following Eric Church all over the country!!
The appreciation on his face at LP field on Saturday night was priceless! He couldn't stop smiling when he was performing. It was great to see! I agree, he's very nice to his fans when he meets them. He built his career from the ground up and I love that about him. :)
That is to cute! I have met a few folks and NO ONE was as kind as he is. I feel that no matter how big he is he will always be that nice. I have noticed a few that I follow starting to act like their fans are a pain to talk to. Like he says he remembers when there was only 8 fans, then it went to 20 and now there are so many. He cares about his fans and it really shows. That right there has moved him to my number 1!
When I met him last year in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the first thing he said was "Come here and let me hug ya." :) Words I will never forget. LOL He's SO nice and will always be my favorite artist.
They have made a documentary like film on his music career. It started out with him going back to the small bar he used to play in. He talked alot about how he has gotten to where he is today in the film and they spoke to his family. It was really good. I cant wait until they finish it up and do it on dvd. He took questions and suggestions from the crowd. It was really neat to be apart of. He is so down to earth and just the most gracious artist I have ever met. He loves his fans and you can certainly tell it in the way he talks about us! I lucked up on meeting him afterwards. Just hung out at the back door and he was kind enough to sign for those who were waiting. I asked him for a hug and he goes of course you can have a hug! Made my day for sure. Made my whole trip. I was a huge fan before but I am a bigger one now. I did meet a few diff fans and hope to see them again soon. It was a wonderful experience and I am planning to attend his over anyone elses next year.
stipid post title box ...
YEA!! Thanks for checking in after the party :)
What were some of the things he talked about? Did he play too? Did you get to meet any other of The Choir?
(we like details, sorry - but thank you for checking in!!)
