Good article, nice to see some peers talk about him. I do think he's the real deal. There's just something different there about him and his band. I don't feel like there's this big influence from others in telling him what to record.
I like the part that talks about the rocker part of him. Driver Williams is awesome to watch. My favorite parts of the live shows is when they go off into a Metallica riff or something. That's just a little example of what other artists don't do live. I can listen to the CD anytime. When I see a live show I want something different. ECB gets it.
That's why I haven't been to a concert other than Eric Church since 2005 when I saw Tim McGraw and George Strait in separate shows. After the McGraw show I realized "This just isn't worth it". Ticket prices were sky high and the show just didn't have any memorable moments. That was the end to concerts for me until Eric Church showed up.
Eric and the band...if you read these comments - Thanks for doing what you do! What a welcome change you guys are to country music.

Love the respect EC is earning. Great to hear the likes of Keith Urban & Ronnie Dunn sing his praises. Better yet - I love Eric's raw honesty. One of the reasons I became such a fan is that he is who he is and put on airs for anyone! He's earning & deserving his mark on the industry the good old fashioned honest way - MUSIC, TOURING and LOVING HIS FANS!!! Hope he never changes!!
