I love Eric Church. I dont appreciate your email telling me to not resell tickets.... I dont know what posts of mine you were talking about reading which indicated you thought I wanted to resell tickets.... I DONT WANT TO RESELL THEM!!!!! I want to attend the shows. I would have purchased tickets to Red Rocks and also all shows anywhere the Chicago area if you had emailed me informing me of the presale!!! See you in Madison. Please email me with presale info and dont try to intimidate me with your crap about reselling and what not. Im not a reseller!!! WTF????? Pretty disappointed right now with this fan club. But no matter what I will support EC. He is incredible!! You fan club website running jerks. :)
I was concerned as my first thought was someone had my email and some fraud was going on. I had emailed them to send me the post in question....so off I went looking and came across this.
It is pretty rotten if it isn't the case and just random emails being sent with accusations.
I got one too! Not a very well written email. My first thought was, I didn't post anything, what are you talking about. I didn't buy any tickets because I was NEVER even told about the Orlando Pre-Sale! I had to find out from a friend that Eric was even coming, so by the time I even looked nothing good was left!
You people need to understand how bad it has gotten to purchase tickets. If you would have looked on Ebay the day before general public tickets went on sale, then you would have seen over 200 tickets for sale at 4 times the price and even higher. These tickets were fan club presale tickets. I actually enjoyed reading the email, and wish they could revoke those tickets and let people that really want to go to the show buy them at the correct price. I missed the presale on the first day, and the second day I could not purchase 4 tickets together for me and my family to attend. As it stands,it would cost us around $650.00 to get tickets where we enjoy sitting, so no I am not offended by the email and neither should you unless you live in Ca. and purched tickets for the Nashville show just trying to make it hard for Nashville fans to get good seats. Take this time to look on Ebay and search for Eric Church Nashville and you will see what I mean. How would you like to pay these prices?
It is not a matter of us not understanding. I've been to going to concerts for 20 years and the scalpers are only getting worse and worse. The principal of the matter is that they chose their words very incorrectly in their e-mail in a way that accused everyone of reselling their tickets. They realized that after the fact and promptly sent out clarification e-mails. It was an honest mistake. I was offended as so was others at first but it's all good now. I am sorry for anyone who didn't get tickets to their desired show, the best advice I can give you is to be there right at the selling time online.
(I think) The email was not sent as an accusation. (I think) It was meant as a notice of the policy and that our concerns were being addressed. Each of you who have done nothing wrong have nothing to worry about. However, anyone who is caught reselling their tickets may be subject to the repercussions described in the email.
I'm sorry yall took it personally. I honestly did not take it personally, nor did I imagine anyone else would.

I received the same e-mail, like everybody else. I didn't think anything of it except they don't want scalpers to get fan club tickets. Guess what-Neither do I.I don't think there was anything wrong with it and very surprised you wouldn't support it
...
i think MCN was just trying to restate their policies as there have been many complaints on the board lately about the lack of ticket availability. I think we should be happy that they are addressing our concerns (even though their method of addressing them may not be very effective). Scalpers are a pain in the butt and make it so fans cannot always get tickets which SUCKS but in reality there isnt much that can be done about it... unless some type of law is put in to place.
As for joining the fan club just to get pre-sales... i dont necessarily agree with that either. I have never purchased pre-sales from this site (although i have seen EC over 20 times); however, I have been a member since 2007.
I think I will just end this by saying i agree to disagree with many of the complaints I have been seeing on this board over the last year or so. I miss the good ol days :)

First off, the email made my day. FINALLY!! A club that is listening to us and doing something about the d@mn scalpers! But second, I think those of you who misunderstood probably took it wrong from the first sentance or two & quit reading. :) I thought the same thing when I read the very beginning - sounded personally directed at me?? - seems silly now. But as I read down through I realized, OHHH, they aren't accusing me of something. Then I got the 2nd email and thought, "guess I wasn't the only one who misunderstood".
BOTTOM LINE - this is really great that they are acknowledging this issue, calling out the jerks scalping, and making an effort to stop it!

IM GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE IS LOOKING OUT FOR US TRUE FANS..
I ONLY BUY 2 TICKETS AT A TIME THROUGH THE CHOIR, NRVER HAD A
PROBLEM & GOT A MEET N GREET AT
THE WINSTAR SHOW..
Another thing I neglected to point out, is that I would have normally thought nothing of the e-mail as well, however, it specifically mentioned me by my first name and middle initials. Giving the appearance of being singled out. I'm not upset about it at all, just trying to validate the point and principle of myself and a lot of others. I'm done beating the proverbial dead horse now, now onward to Knoxville and Pikeville to see EC!
Obviously, we all got the same emails. I am a little surprised that so many were so angry. I I wasn't angry at all. But, I did think perhaps someone had obtained my user name and password and were posting such things. (although I wouldn't DREAM of selling my tickets for ANY amount). The clarification email followed and I quickly realized the intention was to help the true fans from missing out on the show because of greedy people who join just to get tickets.
I give MCM a standing ovation for the efforts put forth in putting the smack-down on slimy scalpers!!!!
KUDOS!

I got this same e-mail accusing me of "reselling" my tickets, when all I purchased was tickets for my friends and myself and I've been a member of the Church Choir since 2005. I wrote back stating that I may contact my attorney to see if this constitutes libelous/slanderous statements via the Internet. I'm sure EC would be furious if he knew how this e-mail was worded.
