Yet another Choir member. Got to the show in Bangor, Maine tonight to find out that there was a screw up with MCN that caused EC's management to cancel the M&G. MCN sucks!

The more I sit here and think about this, the more upset I get. EC LOVES his fans and for his fans to be treated like this is just so wrong. I really hope he is getting wind of how his fans, and supporters, are getting treated. It would be a shame if he thinks everything is going well when it's not.
MCN cannot keep awarding the ever-so-coveted M&Gs only to have them taken away or not awarded at the show. Especially when they are only awarding two per show...grrr.
Melanie, keep us posted on MCNs response to this, OK? I really hope they give you one for your next show...even though your shows are few and far between like ours. ((HUGS)) It'll all be OK, I just know it :)
they only award 2 members a m&g per show? thats horrible wow and i thought other fanclubs that do 10 or more not enough.....wow no wonder alot of people go years without recieving just 1!!

I would be kicking and screaming at whomever would listen!! MCN, WME, Capitol, Facebook, Myspace ... and anybody else I could think of so MAYBE then EC would get the word!!!! There are so many so-called "management" levels he may not realize the seriousness of this and he needs to know!!! I KNOW he loves his fans and he knows better than to treat The Choir this way - surely he gets tired of apologizing for the screw-ups of others .... after all, HE is "THE CHIEF", right?
This constant screwing up - regardless of who it is - needs to stop!!

Was it only cancelled for fan Club members or everyone?...I was told that now that he has a sponor...the sponsor gets lots of M&G passes and so does radio...and with time constraints the M&G gets a little crazy....seems The Choir is getting screwed on this deal ..and it's time for MCN to get its act together.

Laurie, both shows I've been to this summer had no Choir M&G offered but yet there were plenty of other people having M&Gs.
I find it hard to believe that ECB wouldn't get booked by requiring a fan club M&G in the contracts. Maybe there's something else I don't know but it seems like an easy fix to me.

If there are all these other meet and greets that have to be done before the show, then why can't choir members have their meet and greet after the show?
The fan club should award quite a few passes, in my opinion, to EC's choir members.
It would not take much time after a show to meet - like 20 choir members - and this would go a long way to making a lot of us happier.
At the rate this is going, I'll never meet him :(

Ugh, I wonder if this is why there are shows that STILL show that M&G is open for a show 3 DAYS from now. All the other shows I requested M&G for had their "lucky ones" picked out a week in advance! Now I'm getting worried...
Reading through people's comments, someone said that only 2 are being given out per show? (I thought it was 8 per show) And how people go years without getting a M&G? There was a woman the last show I went to who was bragging about getting yet another one (her 2nd in 2 years!).

I agree - I was just on another fan club site and just for being a member you are allowed 5 meet and greets a year!

The M&Gs are also RUSHED from my understanding. If there are only 2-6 f/c members - what's the rush? I honestly don't get it.

I know when I had a Keith Anderson m&g the girl at the venue told me there were 60people (60!!!) and that they moved them post show. Keith refused to limit the number of M&Gs because his fans paid for them by joining the fanclub, they deserved them. Mind you the girl that ran the venue end told me this.
Quite honestly I'm in E's fanclub to support him. I just love him....and want to continue on the journey with him. I've also been fortunate enough to meet him...but that doesn't mean I don't want another opportunity you know?

You have got to be kidding me!! I thought waiting a month after I was told my prize would be "shipped out right away" was a long time. I can't even fathom why you haven't received your guitar yet. The contest ended nearly 4 months ago. Surely there has been time to order or pick up a guitar and have EC sign it! I'm sorry your little guy is getting let down :(

A great big thank you to whomever got this resolved! We received it in the mail today...I assure you that there is one VERY VERY happy little guy at my house, who has proclaimed that getting his very first guitar from Eric is "the coolest thing in the whole world!" THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I think one of the things happening here is The Choir is much bigger than we realize and even if you have only been a member for a day you get the same chances as those that have been members from the beginning...the only person that can change that is Eric himself ...much as he loves us and I love him I don't see that happening. I do agree with Patti part of being in the Choir is supporting E and the guys I guess you could say any one that has purchased a ticket or record or whatever supports...I believe there are few(compared to the total number of Choir) who go beyond that...just my opinion
