I guess this is a bit of a "vent" and I know I'm not alone here. . .headed to BOTH VA shows this weekend and was hoping. . .truly hoping to get "meet and greet" access at one of the shows. My girlfriend introduced me to EC a little over a year and a half ago and since, we've seen him multiple times (I think 5?--she's seen him far more than I have). I hated country before hearing EC. Truly--loathed it. Spent (or maybe misspent) my youth playing in rock bands and I always made it a point to openly discuss my disdain for country music. When Amber and I met (my girlfriend) she listened to country exclusively and asked me to give "sinners like me" a try. I was shocked at what I had been missing. The writing is brilliant. Country uses chords together in ways that other genres simply don't. It was almost as if I had re-discovered my love for music. I started soaking up everything I could get my hands on. Not just EC, but a ton of other artists. I truly hope to one day get to shake EC's hand and thank him. For his writing--and for helping me find a whole new genre of music to love.
I'm frustrated with the Meet and Greet situation...but I'm sure that's disappointment talking. This is the third time I've been turned down for M&G on the blood, sweat, and beers tour. For those of you who have had success, was it a lucky shot? Did you apply multiple times? If so, how many? It isn't economically feasible to try to attend as many shows as I'd like to--and while my girlfriend would be SPEECHLESS meeting EC, it would mean equally as much to me if not somehow more. . .
Can anyone advise?

I am pretty upset with Mr. Church. He is not doing right by his fan club members! He needs to step up to the plate and take care of his SUCKY meet & greet procedure! This is the first time I have posted and I did because I just hate reading that fan club members who have been in this fan club for 4 - 6 years and have never gotten a M&G!! I don't think I've read that a fan club member has EVER gotten a M&G! That is sooooooooo wrong! That is not how you take care of your dedicated fan club members.
I still love EC but just mad at him.
I think most of us don't expect to get m&gs when we apply. I've been w/the "offical" fan club since the day it opened I think in 09? NEVER got a m&g.
Tho I've been following him since 06 and had the opportunity to meet him. I'd love to have an official M&G.

I have been trying to get a meet and greet for the Edmonton, Alberta show. When I click on request meet and greet, I get a message that my church choir membership will expire before the event. This is not the case as the show is in February and my membership expires on October. Has anyone else faced this problem? Is there a way to fix it? I do not see anywhere where you can contact the webmaster.
I've been turned down 4 times I think...hoping for one in Duluth Ga Nov 29.
Guess I won't have to worry about getting a meet and greet and missing any of the show since apparently it's hard to get one. Takes some pressure off I guess.

Just curious how far out from a show that they will notify those that have been selected to attend the Meet & Greet and how do you find out?
Ditto here - we keep trying for meet and greets and never get picked, so we decided to get as close as possible in the pit and believe me that is amazing!! In Vegas we were front row and Chattanooga we only had 2 people in front of us for the live show. We waited around after the show but no sign of him...maybe someday!!

For the people who have received M&G, how far in advance do they let you know that you have received one? Do they notify you by email or what?
M&G notifications are emailed out the week of the show. Most often, the emails are sent out the Monday afternoon prior to the show with a delay if it is a holiday week.

You don't pay for meet & greets through the Choir. The opportunity to be entered into the lottery is a perk of being in the Choir, but not a right to attend any meet & greet.
I'm not a fan of the lottery system. Wish it was X available and first come first serve. But having said that, I was fortunate enough to get a m&g last month through the fan club. Concert was on a Saturday, I was notified on Monday or Tuesday the week of. There were about 30ish in line, but I'm not sure how many were radio/venue/sponsor/fanclub passes.
I still haven't received notification and my show is Friday night. Some that are attending have received their sorry emails as they call them. I have been lucky with Blake Shelton's and his is a lottery system. I got his 2 times and those were with in 3 months of each other. Same for my husband. I like Miranda Lambert's system way better. Its first come first serve and I have never lost! I have met her 4 times through fan club. I think that Eric needs to offer more meet and greets to the fans! I know he is all about his fans so we need to be first over promos. Sorry! When I met Blake they lined us up according to passes and let the fan club go last. I noticed that we also go more time with him. They rushed the others off pretty quick. Fan Club members got a little longer. I also like that our passes stated fan club member on them. We stood out from those we have connections.

I wish there was a trick or easy way to get a m/g BUT sadly it is done on a lottery basis you can only apply 1 time for each show you attend. He only picks about 8 or less people per show through the fan club so it is very hard and rare to get a m/g.

i'm happy you were able to get an eye opener when hearing his music, i just introduced him to my brother and he flew all the way from california to go to the green bay wi show. Where we were lucky enough to get to do an on stage shot of jack d with eric after homeboy and he also took my boot up on stage with him during these boots. probably one of the best times ever at his shows but i think it's because i got to see what eric's music does to people like my brother the first time seeing him i remember that feeling but i love more to see others get to feel it as well :)
