I guess I don't understand. It seems to me that it would take the same amount of time to take a photo with two people as it would take to do it with just one. I understand that wouldn't work to get individual pictures. As long as you both take them together it shouldn't matter.
The meet and greets are a bonus. although Eric does like to meet his fans, especialley now that he's playing such big venues.Right now Eric has the VIP parties, the fan club meet and greets, and local radio station/promoter meet and greets. Plus he has to get ready for the show. I know that sounds like a cop out and he'd probably never say it, but that's part of moving up the food chain. When he played the smaller venues he was limited by size for the meet and greets. Hell one time they had to do it on the bus.

My point exactly. The venues are so much larger than the local Nashville clubs and bars that there is plenty of room for meet and greets. My point mainly being is that meeting superstars is something that Husbands/ Wives or Boyfriends/ Girlfriends would like to do as a couple. It makes the story alot more interesting for both parties when you can say we both met Eric instead of saying, "Hey man, I met ERIC CHURCH and had my picture taken with him but, my wife had to wait out in the lobby!"
Eric needs to worry a little less about the vip part and take that time and meet all the choir members jerrod niehman and deirks bentley allow all their fc memebers in at meet and greets they dont turn people away. Remember FANS COME FRIST. without us hes nothing

Thank you Cfed. My point exactly. I am a VIP purchaser and also a choir member. Finally someone that's in my corner on this.
I think Eric, his management company and MCN do a fine job running things. This can be a very hectic and stressful business trying to balance all of the irons in the fire. Nothing is perfect or ever going to be, and there will never be a situation where everyone is pleased.
Eric is genuinely still all about the fans and them knowing his appreciation of them. I very respectfully disagree that guests should be allowed in the meet & greet. I, for one, prefer that my significant other and myself take turns saving each other's spots while we go to meet & greets for different artists.
I have been to several meet & greet sessions with other artists, not Eric yet, and they have all been run this way.

Also if only one of the significant others is a fan club member and the meet and greet is for fan club members, why should you be able to take a guest who isn't a fan club member. I know this sucks for the other part of the couple but unfortunately with the size of the show there are alot of things going on, and EC doesn't have alot of time pre-show. Again I know it sucks, but I've only had meet and greets to three shows and I've met him at way more shows than that. That will be harder at these larger shows but it can still happen.
OK! I AM GOING TO SIMPLY SAY THAT I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND EACH AND EVERY POINT YOU GUYS ARE MAKING. IT'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT FOR ME. I HAVE BEEN ON THE TOUR BUS WITH DOZENS OF MUSICIANS PRE-SHOW. MOST OF THE TIME WE ARE PLAYING PLAYSTATION ON THE BUS, FOOTBALL IN THE PARKING LOT, CARD, CHECKERS, DOMINOS, ETC., ETC.. YES, THEY DO HAVE SEVERAL COMMITMENTS BUT DON'T THINK FOR A SECOND THEY ARE RUNNING AROUND LIKE CRAZY TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE EACH SHOW. I WOULDN'T BE THE LEAST BIT UPSET IF I NEVER RECEIVED A MEET AND GREET. I WOULD STILL GO TO EVERY SHOW AND HAVE THE BEST TIME. I DO APOLOGIZE IF I SOUNDED LIKE I WAS UPSET OR MAD ABOUT THE WHOLE MEET AND GREET ISSUE. IT WAS A SIMPLE SUGGESTION RATHER THAN A COMPLAINT. LET'S JUST ALL BE HAPPY AND CHANGE THE SUBJECT. ON A BRIGHTER NOTE.....CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE SHOW IN TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI HERE IN A FEW WEEKS!!!!! WOOT! WOOT!
Drew - I love you! MCN should hire YOU to run this board!

All fan clubs are set up that way and yeah it sucks for the other but hey you pay your dues you get the perk. Maybe attend more than one show and let someone else use your pass. I have done that with my Miranda Lambert pass. I have met her numerous of times and the last show i attended i gave my pass to my husband. Sorry but all fan clubs are set that way. It would be super nice if they did allow others to go back with you but to be honest i have met miranda and then 30 min later she had to be on stage. I hope to have the chance to meet Eric myself one day but i can guarantee this..my husband will not be getting that pass! :)
NICE! I though that if you were drawn for a meet and greet that you couldn't give it to someone else?
u pick up the pass at will call with ur id, but they dont check id backstage
They only check ids at will call and then its yours. I have since then signed my husband up for fan clubs i am in with hoping we both can go back and we actually got to meet Blake Shelton together which was neat.
i hope you both get back - but it is highly unlikely...they only pick 4-6ish fanclub members per show.
Cool you both got to go back & meet blake. I only got standby for blake.
I was given a Blake Shelton pass in 2008 - but being as Blake was closing for Eric, I never used the pass because there was no way I was going to miss Eric's set. The m&g time for Blake was 10 mins before Eric's set started.

oooh Caroline-A i'd have done the EXACT same thing....NO WAY I'd miss Eric's set.
I know what you mean. My best friend and I both had meet and greet for Miranda Lambert in 2010 and Eric was opening for her. We went back during Josh Kelly ( who my best friend loves! He is from our hometown). We missed him but made it out like 5 min before Eric came on. I hope to one day meet him. I really want to attend his fan club party this year if he has one. My best friend and I are making a ladies trip to CMA Fest this year. we cant afford the big show and all but plan on attending Miranda Lamberts fan club party and I am def going to Erics. Might as well if I am going to be in the same town as him!!!!
I concur. Been trying to get a meet & greet with this man for too long. If you get one & spend that amount of dough. U bet ur boots u deserve a picture. Geeze Louise it's the least they can do. Come on NA!

I would like to correct those of you who say that ALL fan clubs are set up this way, that is incorrect. Both Sugarland and Jake Owen give each member who wins a MNG 2 passes. Jake Owen will spend as long as he wants with each fan, one time talking over 15 minutes with a friend of mine. Also I won a mng for the first show I put in for, and I gave my sister the other pass but my mom was also at the show, I simply asked the road manager if someone didnt show up if my mom could also join in so we didnt have to leave her outside the venue. He said yes and 3 of us got to meet him! Also Dierks will meet every fan at his shows. I was at a festival and he signed for over 3 hours to make sure he met all his fans- some artists just know how to make thier fans happy. And like said before if it werent for us, they would be no where. With that said im not saying this is wrong that he only allows one pass- just saying others do allow more and you win almost everytime you put in for one! :) Hope we all meet eric one day! Bc I know Im dying to meet him!!
While I can't say if it's right or it's wrong, as I've never cared to be part of any other artist's fanclub...I can say, with complete certainty, that EC absolutely cares about making his fans happy...and, yes I wish we could see him more often and spend more time chatting...but it is what it is...I can't say whether or not they should give away two passes to each person, though that would be awesome...I will say that I think they are doing the best they can...I can't begin to guess the expotential rate at which the Choir has grown in the last year or so...we're just going to have to wait out the growing pains...but I assure you any man that will get down on the pavement and spend five minutes teaching a four year old how to bump knuckles def. cares about making his fans happy...in fact, I could make you a list as long as my arm on things he's done to make us happy...I won't, but I could...just hang in there.

It's not just Eric's fan club that is run that way, Chris Young's & Blake Shelton's are too. I am only a part of those so I'm sure a ton other. The only one that I got a meet and greet for and was allowed to take someone was Josh Thompson. Eric barely does any meet and greets with fan club members, let alone having someone bring someone with them. I use to feel the same way a few years ago as you do now, however, I now understand why they do this.
