After 8 years, I have to put my black lab to sleep tomorrow. My dog (brutus) has been the best dog and without your music, this would be a million times harder. I have had him ever since high school and he was always my best friend, even through college. I would work a mean day, go to class, and then come home and he was always the first one to meet me at the door with a smile saying "how was your day!" He was a big fan of you Eric. I would take him out to the pond and let him chase the ducks around, but he wouldn't jump in the water until I played a song. I would seriosly look at him and say " go ahead boy, jump in!" but he never would jump into the water untill I played the song "lotta boot left to fill" on my ipod or phone. He has cancer and I have to put him down tomorrow. I just thank you Eric for being part of my dogs life. I will see you in Columbus, Ohio when you get here.

Hey bud, it's so tough having to put down your best friend like that. I went through this a year ago with my 16½ year old. So sorry for your loss man.

Thank you for sharing your story. Losing a family member like this is always tough, I hope by sharing, it helped ease a little of your pain. It made me think of my dog Jewel that I hed to euthanise a few years ago.

As a pet owner, I know what a big part of our lives our pets can become! My Boston Terrier loves Eric Church's music, too. Could be because I play it every morning while getting ready! She follows me from room to room!
