I'm starting to get a little concerned over all this meet & greet talk. I know EC wouldn't want it this way at all. I just wish he knew what his "upper" management was doing.

when I went to the NYC Chief show last week along with ALL the other choir members from around the country, we assumed that there were NO M&G's that night. Nothing was posted on the website. As I was leaving I noticed about 10 people lined up with M&G passes. I asked them where they got'em and they said through a radio station. ?????? I'm sure I'm not the only one upset by this. CHOIR MEMBERS come FIRST! What's going on?

Annoyed...

What?! Are you serious? That is annoying. We pay to be in this fan club and there were NO meet and greets to register for. And I was pretty annoyed that when I was in line and went up to tell them my name and how many tickets they said they didn't have them and I told them I am in the fan club and were sent here, to will call. So they shoved me and a few others off to the side because they didn't have anything for the fan club members. Then he told me to show me my license wrote my name down and how many tickets and just let me through. What is going on with this fan club?

I don't post a lot on these

I don't post a lot on these boards, but I have to say it seems like there are not a lot of perks to being a Choir member. I have been to 8 concerts in 3 different states, no meet and greets. I was awarded one but didn't make it to that concert so I don't really count that one because it was awarded to someone else in the end. I was lucky enough to meet Eric and the band when he played in my hometown at a VERY small show before Sinners was released, so I don't complain about not getting M&G's, but my heart goes out to all of you that try over and over again just to get denied or awarded them and have them fall through. Do we pay to be in the Choir just to get a special T-Shirt?

I can't help but feel that the bigger he gets, the less important the fan club is going to be. Is it about staying true to the fans that were there in the beginning or about trying to get new fans now? I would hope I know the answer to that, but actions speak lounder than words. Seems like he could have some influence over his management. Hope it changes soon, they need to start increasing the number for the Choir, maybe once the album has been out for awhile they will.

I don't know about radio M&Gs

I don't know about radio M&Gs but there was a handful of people that were given M&G passes at random at the show....someone from Capital was handing them out. Yes I know 2 people who got them....very LUCKY :) and I am still super happy for them.

In his Defense...

I've been following EC since 2006. Early on, until probably about 2 years ago, Eric came out after darn near every show and signed and talked to everyone who wanted an autograph, until everyone got one. Access was easy, and the man was (and is) unbelievably gracious and appreciative of all of his Fans. I'll say this, he knows ALL of the old guard choir members by name.... and no doubt when he's on stage in front of increasingly large crowds, he knows we're out there and wouldn't be where he is without his loyal fan base. It's hard that access has become limited, but as crowds get larger and harder to manage, that's the price we pay for his growing success (which is what we all want for him). We ALL want him to be a multi platinum selling star.... but behind all the management and security is STILL the EC we all got behind, put up posters for, passed out CD's for. ...for you who haven't been so lucky.... keep trying...be patient. ALL of the big stars are hard to get to. I joined the Choir to support Eric Church's music. If I get something special out of it, such as a M & G... then I'll consider it a bonus. He DOES know how important ALL of his fans are.... Old and New! Here's to a Number 1 Eric!

I absolutely agree with you

I absolutely agree with you about Eric. I'm not blaming him at all. Love him, LOVE his music! And most importantly lOVE his appreciation for his fans. I have been lucky enough to meet him a few times. And 2 of those times were after show appearances hanging around. But, my fustration was seeing the people lined up for meet & greets after the show knowing they didn't offer any to the choir. I asked 2 people in line about their passes and they said they got them through the local radio station. And to those that got them that night.....AWESOME!! Nothing's better than that!!
All these years I've been a choir member I have never expected M&G's to be given out. I always tried :)...but never expected any. That is just an added perk.
I am absolutely thrilled for his current success. FINALLY people in Nashville have opened their ears!
It's just gonna get a little harder getting those one on one moments with him. But your right, he knows we are out there!
