Pretty sure it's Stephanie Chapman -cowrote on Longer Gone and many of us saw her singing at The Rutledge with Eric on the songwriter's night a couple years ago. Sort of sounds like Miranda on parts - but overall I'm betting on Stephanie Chapman. Sounds great.

she was my first thought but then I got sidetracked with the Miranda tidbits :o
I love the songs she has written with EC and think she has a fondness for The Choir after the Rutledge show. Didn't she play/sing with him once on The Opry?
Do the liner notes mention anybody for the song? What about the singers in "Country Music Jesus"? I heard Singleton was backup on there somewhere too!

it's Miranda - that much I know - but wonder if it will be a duet (on both albums?) or is she singing backup only?
if it is Miranda? I swore it was going to be but I just don't know if it sounds like her? Can't decide.
Eric said that there would be a couple of "his peers" on Chief. Considering the tour and song-writing with her I would have to guess Miranda

~Chief release show in NYC-abolutely PRICELESS~
I feel like her voice is so similiar to Ashton Shepherd's but I can't find any info on the web about who it is.
Regardless, I love this song!
The Musicians listed as background vocals at the end say:
Stephanie Chapman, Joanna Cotten, Shelly Fairchild, Jason Hall, Jeff Hyde, Jamie King, Alfreda McCrary Lee, Beverly Ann McCrary, Regina McCrary, Pat McLaughlin, Jonathan Singleton, Ryan Tyndell.
I'm guessing if it was Miranda it would either say her there, or even by the title...

i need him around morreeee.
i thought it was shelly fairchild. her and stephanie chapman are listed as backup vocals.
Did anyone see any flags pop up when they read Pat McGlaughlin in the cd booklet??
Pat was the original artist to record 'Julia.' I think that's pretty badass that EC got to have him on the vocals for this song on Chief!
it's Joanna Cotten:

If you are going to the Stir Cove shows tonight/tomorrow - Joanna is going to be there singing with Eric. Should be AHHHHmazing!

Stephanie Chapman maybe? She co-wrote and sang on "My Heart's Got a Memory."
