I attended the Amherst, MA show last night. I purchased tickets for my 3 friends and I for the pit. The show was amazing. I've seen Eric 5 times lives and he always puts on an amazing show for his fans. But, the paperless tickets need some work. From what I saw there were not many scalpers at the actual show (I just saw one) so it worked in that sense. Yet, for the people in the pit who spent there hard earned money, had to share their spot with people who jumped over the fence, or stole/asked for the ticket you got at the door from other concert goers. I had to tell at least 4 groups of people that I refuse to give them my ticket. Security should take the ticket when you get your wrist band for the pit, so people cannot sneak in. There were probably twice as many people in the pit then there should be. Even though I enjoyed the concert very much, I would enjoyed it more if I was not harrassed by college students who wanted my ticket, or being pushed as they jumped over. Security did do great catching people who jumped over the fence.
So for future shows, please find a way so the people who actually paid for the pit, can enjoy it without annoying, selfish people trying to sneak in.
Paperless ticketing huh? Well, until Ticketmaster or EC can give me a refund if I can't attend a concert, I'm NOT in favor. Sure, this will keep the scalpers at bay but it kicks the ass of fan property rights. How about we just set limits on stadium and entertainer profit limits instead?
Yeah, that's a venue issue. If you haven't already, you should send the venue an e-mail describing everything you just told us here. I'd be interested to hear their response on something like that.
I believe it was more of the arena being unprepared. Who knew that people will be jumping the fence or asking people for there tickets.
The arena was unprepared for a lot of things. Like agreeing to have Eric Church play at the arena, but probably not informing his publicist that it was a "dry campus" and no alcohol will be sold. I guess they did not know it was the "Blood, Sweat and Beers" tour.
Anyway, I had a great time regardless.
Cannot be to much of a sore sport when I rocked out for 90 minutes
Last night in pa I was in the pit...paperless ticket, however when they slide your credit card they printed you out a 'ticket' to tell you where you went, then they red lined it and gave u a wristband to get into/out the pit area...you had to show both. i had no issues in the first row, not sure how the back of the pit was though.
it may have been a venue issue. NOT that I had the paperless ticket...but at the Mohegan Sun in CT they put a big BIG red X across your ticket.....and gave you a wrist band for the pit. To re-enter the pit you HAD to have the Ticket w/the X on it and the wrist band. You could NOT have just one.
i was in the front row behind the pit and i did see alot of folks getten taken out cause they didnt belong there, one women slide underneath the railing they had there....for justin moore i was in the upper section..wHEN i went down to my front row seat...NOBODY CHECKED MY TICKET ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FRONT...GREAT SECRUITY LOL
