I recently got my dream tickets!!! 2 Pit Tix for the Cape Show. My 10 year old daughter is just as fanatic about EC as I am (I am raising her well) Anyway she wants to go with me. I am a little nervous about taking her into the pit. Ive been to many EC concert but have always been pretty far back and never really watched how people act when Eric is performing... (All eyes on ERIC) Just wanting opinions on if I should really take her with me or take a friend with me and get actual seats when I buy for STL's (4/20) show and take her then. Please Advise
Thanks,
Leah

I'd like to say that I wouldn't recommend the pit for anyone....it's a good time!!
All kidding aside, I would recommend against taking a 10 year old to the pit. It can get wild, loud, crowded, et cetera. As Nicole mentioned, kids are probably going to get tired of standing as this is about all you will be doing.

I wouldn't bring a small child to the pit for an Eric Church concert. There are so many drunk guys, and the girls just want to get closer...they will push and shove to do it running over anyone and everyone to get there. There are stories of outside concerts of people urinating, beer is always being spilled and just the shoving alone is obnoxious.
Now, if you're in your 20's or 30's, it's the place to be, lol!
For a ten year old, you would have to get really lucky and find people to surround her so she wouldn't get squished...that's why the choir is so cool. If you can find some MEN to help you out, then it might be OK, or if you want to stand towards the back, that too would be OK, but if you want up close...don't do it (in my opinion).
Have fun and be sure to come back and give us a full review of the show! You will have a blast!!!

I agree with most, would not take a child into the Pit. For one thing it will be harder for them to see. I am 5'4 and if I don't get close to front I feel like I spend the show on my tippy toes trying to look around everyone.
Plus as everyone says, I've never been in a pit where I didn't want to knock the crap out of some stupid drunk girl who decides she wants to shove her way through you. Always have beer spilled on me, usually my own while being knocked around. Having said this, I most certainly bought Pit tix for this tour, because all of this is worth it to be close to Eric, lol. But for a 10 yr old, not so much.

I must agree with everyone else. General Admission/Pit is truly a great time only if you're tallish, have about 4 hours of standing stamina, have a great love for getting drinks spilled on you, and getting elbowed - a lot. Plus dont even think about trying to get to the bathroom then back to your "spot"!. I've been in GA for many concerts (Nickelback, Metallica, Trace Adkins, Brantley and many more) and would feel very bad for a small child. Hope you guys have a great time.
One week, and counting down the hours!! Thanks for the awesome feedback everyone! I have talked my daughter into going to the STL show with me which I will most likely be purchasing regular seats for that one, I am going to take one of my best friends with me to the Cape conert in less than a week!! <<<<<<< so excited!!!! I will scope out just exactly how the pit is and make my mind up for the next show!! Thanks Church Choir!!!

I took my oldest son to shows in the PIT from age 5 to 7.. It is ALOT of standing and some people get rowdy. He liked it but asked if next time we went we could get seats cause it was so loud. You might want to check with the venue and info under the tickets because alot of EC shows are 8 and over now..
