as someone who can recite EC's entire discography, i gotta admit this song has some of the most kick ass lyrics i've ever heard by the CHIEF.. does anyone know what they're from?

This rap version of Smoke was recorded about 2 1/2 years ago with a rapper named Currency. It was never officially released but I imagine EC had a heavy impact on the songwriting as he always does.
I too love this version of the song. What a treat it would be to surprise the fans at a show? I think that would be a bad idea because the crowd would go SO crazy!

I think the crowd going completely batshit would be the perfect reason to surprise them with it. ;) I know I'd love to hear it live. I'll try to be sober enough to remember it. HAHA! That's my biggest regret from seeing him in Council Bluffs last year. He played the whole Chief album while he was filming the "Drink in My Hand" video, and I don't remember "Over When It's Over" because he did it last. There's a teeny bit of it, but...yeah. Mostly a blank spot. LOL I have to watch a cell phone video of it on freakin youtube to even pretend I remember it all!
