Was wondering how the shows at Lollapalooza & The Metro were. Really wanted to get up there and wasn't able to.

Thanks for the reviews. Glad the show was awesome! I'm really wishing I could've found a way to get up there. Those small venue shows are the best. I'm ready for some more shows to be announced and new music!
A little late but better late than never at all. ECB gave us the best show that night ever. I paid a high price for that ticket(as did my friends who came with me) but would do it all over again and again. The show they put on was nothing short of incredible. The energy and the fact that all who attended were all EC fans and we were there to rock,he delivered. He was loving the crowd and we were singing all his songs word for word. His smiles showed how much he loved it too. Just when you thought it was over he came back out to do an acoustic version of lighting because that is what the crowd requested and he delivered it beautifully. I know that I was at the best concert ever that night that probably couldn't be topped? He is a true song writer, singer & entertainer. I will follow ECB forever. Those who where lucky enough to attend count your lucky stars cause this man is on fire. 2014 is his year and he has arrived. Now my next goal is meeting him to tell him how I feel and to get my darned old boots signed! Love you EC keep kickin ASS !
In a nutshell, I was front row almost center at The Metro... It was by far the best ECB show I have ever seen!!! Unreal!!! Best part was that E and the guys were having as much fun as we were. You could tell they miss playing places like that.
Damn... really wishing I was able to get up for that one. I would have to agree with you about the smaller venues-those shows always seem to be the better ones. But, I too, am happy to see him so successful. Many thanks for review. Here's to some new music and tour dates soon!
(Yes, that's a nod to Doug Supernaw)
I didn't go to Lolla, but I did go to the Metro. Basically, it was the best EC show I've seen, ever. I've seen Church all over. Joe's, Cowboy Stadium, Sears Center, Miller Park in Milwaukee, San Jose, CA, and none of them compared to this show. So much energy. The whole band played off the crowd and I can't believe how effing loud it was.
Imagine the energy of Joe's bar from 5 years ago, plus the new material that has come out from EC since then, and that's what it was.
My mind is a little foggy from that night, but he played a ton of songs. The obvious ones from Chief, plus Sinners, Guys, Smoke, How Bout You, Boots, Lotta Boot Left to Fill (JAM), plus he did the old 70's song Chevy Van and Hank Jr's Country Boy Can Survive.
Watching EC and the band, we could tell how much they were enjoying it. They just jammed. The guitar player on EC's left (Driver?) just effing rocked it!
It was so loud, and such a great show, with a perfect ending. EC came out with just his guitar and played Lightning. What's better than that?!?!?!?
Me and the dudes had a great night. Good for EC that he's big time now, he's earned it. But there is nothing like a small venue when it comes to watching EC and ECB rock out!
