I have tickets to the show tomorrow night in Portland Maine. We're traveling about 3 hours to get there and it's supposed to start snowing in Portland tonight and continue through out the day tomorrow into Friday. I'm wondering if anyone knows if they ever cancel shows because of the weather and if so, how will we find out? Also, do they offer a refund or honor your tickets at a postponement show (if there is one)? In a way I'm hoping they postpone, since with the weather we may not make it if they have it. I really don't want to miss the show :(
Ticketmaster rarely informs you of cancelled shows, they don't usually know. Check with the venue or promoter. Also check with the radio stations in Portland. Call before you leave and about half way there. Usually Ticketmaster is good about offering refunds. If a make-up show is scheduled usually they will give you a choice of refund or go to the new show.
Whenever possible promoters WILL NOT cancel, they lose too much money. Your best bet is to start early and make plans to stay the night if you can. Good luck.

From the Cumberland County Civic Center's website: "THE TRUCKS AND TOUR BUSES ARE HERE. THE SHOW WILL GO ON AS SCHEDULED!"

I really think the chance of this show being canceled is little to none. If the show were canceled, you would find out by contacting the venue or visiting their website, visiting the tour or news section of this website, or the respectable social networking sites ran by either.
It is also possible that Ticketmaster would send out a notice to those who purchased tickets from them if a show of theirs was to be canceled.
If a show is canceled, you will receive a refund. Should a show be postponed your ticket will be valid for the make-up date or, it is common practice to also allow refunds.
I know you are asking about the show this weekend, but it is important that I note that this policy does not apply to most fairs or festivals.
