Welcome to The Choir!!!
Glad to have you posting on the board.
I agree - alot of people "like" Eric's music but when they see him live, they are hooked!!!!
I have always bought "the first ticket to Church" for friends/coworkers (course they were cheaper back then :O ) because I knew if they ever saw him LIVE, they would buy their own tickets next time .... it works!!
Hang around and tell us about your shows :)

I'm glad you posted. While you might have only been a fan since 2010 that doesn't matter. What matters is that you're among friends. Like was said earlier, by a ticket for a friend and bring them along. They'll be changed.
I've been a fan since 2006. My wife and I were bored and we saw an ad for an Eric Church show at this little club, my wife vaguely knew Two Pink Lines from the radio. The show cost 15 bucks so we thought what the hell? We bought the cd on the show and liked the songs. Then we saw the show and holy crap. I knew a couple of the songs from listening to the cd, but when everybody else was singing along I was converted. He was surprised that the crowd was so into it. I've seen every show in Seattle since then. I've recently moved to Texas for work, and in April I'm off to see him in Bossier City, LA. This is the first time to see him in the south so it ought to be fun. I'm also lucky because The Blood, Sweat, and Beers tour isn't making it up to Seattle.

Thanks all for the wonderful feedback. I would buy friends tickets if I could afford to do that. Right now there is no way. I am so psyched I am seeing him in 4 days!!!! Did not get a Meet & Greet but that is fine so hopefully I will be close to stage in the PIT! I have only had a chance to see him twice so far once with Miranda & then last year with Toby! I will be posting a link to my pics after with my review too. I even had a shirt specially made up that if I can find somebody to take a picture I will post too. Downfall of going by myself is I can't leave the PIT to go get a drink because I would lose my spot. I can drink before and after though!
Any way will keep you posted!
May 22nd, 2011! The same thing happened to me. He opened for Aldean and I was never the same. Bought his CD's and tried to explain EC to anyone who would listen. But they don't get it until they see him live! I can't wait for the Atlantic City show on March 17th! My third time EC show it less than a year!

There are drawbacks to being in the pit on your own, however hopefully you'll meet members of the church Choir that'll help you out. You are in for a great night finally getting to see eric headline. I can't wait to hear your review. Have fun.
Love your post! I'm along the same lines, bought my first EC CD in 2010 when he was going to be opening for Miranda. After I SAW him open I bought the rest the next day. Love at first sight, lol. I tell everyone I know that he is THE BEST you will EVER see live. Seriously am so excited to see him headline I cannot WAIT! And I think PIT is the only way to see him. :)
I also have many people who don't understand going to see the same people over and over, but my first love in life is music, so to me there is nowhere else I would rather be than at a country concert, particularly Eric's!

I hear you on people asking about how you can see the same show multiple times. I agree that the music and the show that the ECB puts on is what really got me to my first show, and kept me coming back. However, the many amazing people I've met along the way also keep me coming back. I've met so many great friends through the Choir! It makes the shows even better than they already were watching them with a bunch of rabid, hardcore sinners like me.

Your story sounds alot like mine! I first saw him in Sept 2010 opening for Miranda Lambert. I knew and liked some of his songs before the show, what I heard on the radio. THEN I saw him live and it was like an epiphany. Went out and got the cd's the next day. In the ensuing months I've managed to go to 7 shows, including Salisbury, MD last Friday, with tix in hand for NYC and FL in March.
Bring your friends to a show and I bet they will be damn glad you did.
