This email may never find you, but I am trying anyway. Two years ago today I nearly lost my 8 month old son. He was being watched by a co-workers wife and she somehow fractured his skull and never informed us, it truely is a long story. I will attach a news article below for you to read about the case. My son is has since recovered thanks to a the big man upstairs looking out for my little warrior. The reason I am writing to you is because I want to say thank you. The last two years have been the hardest two years of my life, not only did my wife and I nearly lose our son, we had to relive the incident over and over again as we waited for out day in court. Your music got me thourgh these past two years, those nights I couldn't sleep I would put your songs on my ipod and pour me a glass of JD and escape. Between your music, my friends, and my wife(who is my rock) I got through the hardest time in my life. There were many times I nearly got in my truck and drove to the womens house who nearly killed my son and did something I would have regreted for rest of my life, but I didn't thank god. I am sure you get many emails and letters like this one and at the end they ask to meet u, while don't get me wrong I would like a chance to meet you. I am not asking for that, I simply want to thank you for what you do, your music has touched my life in many ways. I have been to several of your concerts this year and I know you don't play Love me like Jesus does during your show, however I am attending your Oct 26 show in fairfax. If at all possible could you play it that night for my wife and I. that song truly means alot to my wife and I, mainly me because if my wife didn't love me like she does I would have done something stupid that I would have regretted these past two years. Again thanks for being Eric Fucking Chrurch and doing what you do. Here is a news article is you are interested in reading it.

LOL @ Jason, gotta love this new web site........NOT!!!!!!
Really amazing how much music can get us through difficult times in our lives. I have been going through some stuff lately and nothing helps like putting my iPod on EC and going for a long walk and just drowning out the world and losing myself in his songs. Sometimes I wonder if he knows the impact his music has, at the risk of sounding cheesy, it's like medicine. I think he does though. He gets it. He wouldn't be able to write a song like Springsteen if he didn't get it.
Thanks for the kind commnets, my wife and I are just looking forward to enjoying another EC show. You can bet there is going to be some drinks in our hands and whiskey on our breath....
Tried for a meet and greet but ws denied for the forth time. Still haven't been able to find a way to get into contact with anyone, all is good. Hopefully he rocks out like he did the pervious 3 times. Really hoping he plays my wife and i song.
I will be at that show, hoping he plays the song for you to hear. Really moved by your post, you both must be amazingly strong people.

Your post was making me really sad until I red the end when you put "Thanks for being Eric Effing Church" ... LOL!
I'm sooo sorry about your son but am touched how music (and a little Jack D) got you through it all.
I'm sure he gets all kinds of letters like this but I truly, and honestly, hope he plays "your song" at the concert. If not, just hold on to your wife and enjoy the Hell out of it!
