I purchased my "floor" tickets for the show, to find out its general admission! What's the actual benefit of the membership then? A local radio station had a presale today, and the average joe received the same benefit as me. Except now I am out the cost of the membership. Now we are going to have to wait for hours on end to be able to get near the front of the stage. Not to mention the hassle one faces to go the rr or grab a drink. Have reserved floor seating would correct this issue or at least mark off a section for the church choir members. I know I am talking to deaf ears, but hey, you never know!
I totally agree, i think this issue needs addressed. Check out my earlier post "Enterting pit after VIP party" I understand the reply stating that entering the pit during opener would distract BG fans, but entering a reserved area between artist would not.
I'm with all of you here - like slr389 said, MAYBE if we make our voices heard in all the right places they will make a different pit area for VIP ticket holders and Church Choir members. Doesn't hurt to try.

I just wish we knew exactly who to address this issue to!
I've been to plenty of shows that have a gated off area. Much like Kenny has his "Sandbar" pit area, or Taylor has her "Tea Party" pit area...those are for the people who paid the big bucks and/or members who actually benefit from being a member.
It would take all of 2 minutes to put up a gate to segregate us from the others! And I know both Eric has accessibility to gates, as does Huntington Center.
I know this will probably start a flame war but stop your bitching. Eric likes to have a wide open pit so that all of his fans can have a great time and have a chance to be up front. I hate it when I go to shows and they have a roped off area for "special people". I joined the Church Choir to show my support for Eric and have the opportunity to get first shot at tickets and a chance to get meet and greets. For those of you who say well my local radio station has a pre-sale, well yeah but Eric likes to have all of his fans get the chance to come have show. If the only reason you get tickets is because you think it makes you special well then you probably should go join a different club. I've been a fan since the beginning and have been to about 9 or 10 shows, and I'm happy to be anywhere in the venue because he always puts on a great show. eric has moved up from the clubs and smaller shows and now it's harder to get some of the perks that were there in the past. Get over it, it's part of life. I'm going to take a day off of work, drive 5 hours, and stay overnight in a hotel, because I love the shows that Eric puts ona great effing show. I'm not going to whine if I don't get up front, I'm just going to go have fun. That's what an ECB show is all about. So please stop you're bitching and just go have fun, if you're worried about the cost of your Church Choir membership don't renew next year.

This is the same for the Battle Creek, MI show. It is a week from today and my entire crew is planning to get there at noon to stand a chance at front row. We had PIT tickets to the Saginaw, MI show a few weeks ago and everything else was reserved/assigned seating. We got there at 3pm and it was perfect. We were front row in the PIT and it was awesome. Only downfall I saw is that the PIT area was ENORMOUS! It was at least 80 feet deep, and could have held 1500 people, but only had about 500, so anyone who thought they had front row assigned seats was almost 100 feet away. I guess we all need to strap up, get there early and be ready to throw elbows on the way in. I will post after the GA show next Thursday and give everyone the heads up on when you should plan to arrive if you want front row etc.
With Love,
Your Sacrificial Lamb

I guess that's just my main concern. This IS a 100'x85' hockey area we're talking about (granted take out HOW MANY feet for the stage?). I think everyone's expecting there to be 2,500 people on the floor (There's about 2,000 on the floor WITH reserved seating at the typical concert there), but if there is a limited amount, that would be better.
I've been in a a few pits and there's been nothing but fights to every.single.one that I've been to. The cops were called at the EC Centennial Terrace show this past summer. Hell, I even had people try and start fights with me for no reason there.
There is definitely a cutoff as far as the number of pit tickets being sold. Fire code restricts the number of folks allowed to be in this area so the number of folks won't be insanely crazy. From the stands, much of the floor may appear to be empty as the crowd gathers closer to the stage.

Trust me, I've been all over this forum as well as K-100 and Huntington Center's facebook pages voicing my opinion.
I'm beyond furious about this situation. I'm a Church Choir member for a reason...I'm a HUGE fan! I don't want to have to wait around for hours for something that I should get anyway. Let alone fight my way to get up front to enjoy him.
I'm not sure here, but I think it's Eric's people who control this situation...but I think, as you, we need a gated off area for VIPs and CC members.
Like, maybe a gated area, and then a general admission area behind that.
Huntington Center is going to be beyond crazy May 10...we're talking about 2,500 people on the floor. It's the size of a hockey rink! The venue holds 8,000 for concerts...take into consideration the 200' x 85' rink dimension.
