Not worth $200. Eric plays only 2 acoustic songs in a VIP lounge... 5 minutes max but you sit in a lounge for like 2 hours... food is like chicken nuggets and carrots with dip. You get a cool Eric Church tshirt, a signed poster, and some awesome shot glasses... but it isn't worth the money I paid. You are with EVERYONE AND THEIR NEIGHBOR in the pit, too.... you are not in a special VIP pit area for the show like people have been told (like me). People did not care that you had a VIP pass, they would NOT let you up closer. Fights all over in the pit.
THE SHOW WAS GREAT. No complaints about Eric or Brantley's performances... fantastic, like always. Just trying to let people know that spending the $200 wasn't worth it in my mind.
Did VIP for Terre Haute and have a few observations...
First, it is called "Put a Drink In Your Hand" but it was a cash bar. I think for the price, we could have at least been provided a couple of beers.
The food was decent but almost all meat options and for a vegetarian like me you didn't have much selection.
I think that for the price we pay, Eric should have been able to spend more than the ten or so minutes he did with us. He ran on the stage, sang his two songs, and ran off. It was awesome to be so close I could see his eyes, but it seems like they could have worked out a little more time for the $200 bucks we spent.
When we got to our seats, BG was already into his set. We had the reserved seats that we off to the side. They were GREAT, so glad I didn't get the pit, most of the people who chose pit were in the very back of the pit because the VIP ran late. I would have been upset if we had pit tickets or tickets behind the pit like some did, but ours worked out, I think we were lucky.
All and all I am glad we did it, but I wouldn't do it again unless the offered more than two songs, and I for sure would not do pit tickets.
The website clearly states the poster is signed by Eric, not true at all! I had vip and i didn't even go so i could save a spot in the pit. My husband went, thought it was neat especially that you could check all the stuff we got. The bar was nice because the venue was not alcohol. He then had to miss most of BG and had to fight the crowd to join me in the front of the pit. I also emailed cid to see if the poster we were getting was the limited edition print on being sold at the merch table. They told me no! So i bought one. Opened my vip tube to find it was! I was excited to see it signed by Eric, but I unrolled it and they weren't. Now I have 3 of them! Great show, not happy with the package.
I went VIP in Madison last Thursday...glad I experienced it, but won't pay for it again. Wish the food selection would have been better, and I agree that for what we pay for VIP, there should be a drink or two thrown in for us.
Our venue would not let us leave the building with our merchandise so they had a bag check available to VIP. Nice thought, bad result. My things (along with three of my friends things) went home with a girl from Dubuque, rather than stay in Madison with me. It put a huge damper on the night.
We were lucky enough to have more friends in the pit area already so we were able to meet them and we actually had a great view the entire show. We did, however miss half of Brantley's show, which was disapointing.
And I will agree hands-down that the CID people have fantastic customer service. They replaced all of our "lost" merchandise before we left the venue and I was given personal contact information to further "make the situation right", which they very much did.
Eric's show was unbelievable, which was more important than anything :)
How early does the pre-show events start? I need to make sure I get off work in time.

denunz25,
I have been hearing that most of the preshow parties have been starting about 2 hours before showtime.
However, each show may vary. I would plan on being there a couple hours ahead of time to be safe. Details on your VIP package will be emailed to the purchaser within approximately 1 week of showtime.
When purchasing your VIP package, does it give you the option between PIT or assigned seating?
Yes, Stacey...you will have the option of VIP or reserved seating.
I am happy I double checked this. I am coming home from my Iraq Deployment in May and was going to surprise my wife with this "VIP" event. But after reading the comments, it seems that you don't get a $200 experience. It sounds like you get a $50 (limited availability) upgrade, I.E. the T-shirt and a 2-song acoustic. I would think that if I have to miss part of the opening act, there had better damn well be some alcohol or a meet and greet, especially if I am a Choir member. Looks like I will save the cash for the alcohol at the venue, and keep my hopes up that I get meet and greets- the regular way.

Eric Church is at the VIP "experience" for the last five or ten minutes before the Black Label Lounge closes. Just to let people know...you will miss the ENTIRE opening act. You will probably also miss a small portion of Brantley Gilbert's show. Also, don't get me wrong. I love Eric Church but the VIP experience isn't worth the money. The poster is great. But that's about it. The t-shirt is CHEAP, you get a five minute concert, finger food, and some shot glasses.

I purchased VIP and the PIT for an upcoming show... Glad I read this because now I'm debating on if I should just skip the vip to ensure I get to see all of Brantley's performance and get a good spot in the PIT... Where and when do you get the poster and t-shirt because I still would like to have them if I skip the VIP being that I spent $200 on this???

I can understand your frustrations. The company that is in charge of the VIP experience (who might I mention seems to have phenomenal customer service) does not seam to follow through with their promises.
Many of us have been personally told by CID Entertainment that VIP ticket holders would have first access to the pit, prior to the remaining GA pit ticket holders. However, so far this has not been the case.
Unfortunately many VIP ticket holders have left the VIP experience only to find they are some of the last ones to get in the pit. This is all fine and dandy, but CID should communicate this rather than telling those who have called and/or emailed that they would have first access.
