Cookies For Kids Cancer

Easy way for you all to help Eric's good friend, and ESPN reporter, Marty Smith.

Here's the message direct from Marty, thanks to all:

The Jimmie Johnson Foundation has an amazing initiative called The Helmet of Hope, in which JJF offers financial assistance and national exposure to 13 fan-and-media nominated charities. It is a tremendous program that has had a massive impact on the chosen charities.

Three weeks ago at Michigan, Johnson randomly pulled my charity -- Cookies For Kids Cancer -- which uses bake sales to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer. With that comes 10k and placement on JJ's helmet at Fontana next month. As if that's not enough, JJF announced this week that it will donate an additional $20,000 to the charity that receives the most fan votes between now and Sept. 29, at 5 pm EDT.

You can vote once, or you can vote once every single day between now and then. We'll gladly take as many as you will offer. Tell your friends.

Please take a second to go to www.helmetofhope.org <http://www.helmetofhope.org/>  and vote for Cookies For Kids Cancer.

Thanks much for your time - especially regarding a personal matter for me. It is dear, dear to my heart.
