More on Paperless Tickets

Thursday, June 14, 2012 - 16:12

With approximately twenty more shows going on sale tomorrow, we wanted to take a minute to remind fans that the best seats in the house for most shows are PAPERLESS.

The good news is that paperless tickets are really helping with Eric’s efforts to get good seats to real fans at face value.  As an example, the Cincinnati show went onsale last Friday.  If this was a show in the first half of the tour, we would have seen 800-1000 tickets immediately for sale on StubHub for prices up to ten times face value.  Instead, there are only 232 tickets on StubHub at present, and NONE of the best seats in the venue are listed for sale!!  Check it out HERE

Let’s hope scalpers (“slimy sons of bitches” as Eric called them in Billboard) learn to stay away from Eric Church shows!

Paperless Tickets

The problem with this method is I cannot buy tickets for friends anymore. It also means if you buy tickets 3 months before a show and something comes up, you cannot get rid of them. If the sale was 3 or 4 weeks before the show, it would make more sense. Will call makes more sense than this method. The only good thing about paperless is that you should still be able to get a good seat close to the show date. That also means a lot of these tickets might go unsold. There has got to be a better way!

I find it very interesting

I find it very interesting that the same artist who is "standing up" for Fan's rights by going to Paperless tickets is also promoting a secondary ticket website with a direct click-thru link (Stubhub) and up to the minute secondary ticket market stats.

Wonder if the person writing this very same statement above might also be the same person selling "None" of the best seats in the house on Stubhub?

Paperless Tickets..

What if the tickets were purchased as a gift and the person who purchased them with their credit card will not be attending the show?? Can those attending bring the card and still get the tickets without an issue even though it is not their name on the card?

Love it! They do charge out

Love it! They do charge out the ASS for tickets. I have never used them and if you want tickets to a sold out show wait to check ebay a few days before. I have lucked up and gotten tickets at face value or less because they want to get rid of it.

Paperless Ticket

So call me stupid....I have a church choir membership....and love it....however my daughter is 18 and going to college....so I purchased a membership for her so she could take advantage of the presales. Well she signed on under her account but doesn't have a credit card so she used mine. I was under the wrong impression that since she had her own membership she could buy them using my card. Am I screwed as she will be away at college and there is no way I can be there to go with her?

She will not be able to get in on these tickets unless you are there with an ID. I talked to ticketmaster and found out that I can still buy tickets for friends, but I must be there with my ID and everyone must go in together.

Paperless Tickets

I talked to ticketmaster and found out I can buy tickets for friends separate from my purchase with my credit card. We all must go in at the same time and I must be there with my ID and the same credit card used for all purchases. If I can't make it, NO ONE GETS IN! If someone else can't make it, they can actually sell their ticket as long as the one using it goes in the same time as I do. Better make sure everyone will go if you buy them tickets!!
