An already amazing 19-month run got even better Wednesday morning when Eric Church learned he was nominated for a leading five CMA Awards, including top honor Entertainer of the Year.
It’s Eric's first nomination in that category, and one earned through tireless work, innovation and old-fashioned entertaining. He’s also up for Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Like a Wrecking Ball,” Single of the Year for “Talladega” and Musical Event of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” with Keith Urban.
On September 24th, in a special program presented by the Skirball Cultural Center and the GRAMMY Foundation, GRAMMY winner Gregg Allman, discusses the impact of legendary concert promoter Bill Graham on his career with Eric Church, who counts Allman among his biggest influences. The evening concludes with live acoustic performances by both Gregg and Eric, which will be recorded as part of the GRAMMY Foundation Living Histories program.

Even by Eric Church’s ever-expanding definition, Thursday night’s show under a full moon to open Nashville’s brand new Ascend Amphitheater was different. Maybe even a little weird, he told fans.
“The thing about tonight is you get to see something you’ll never see again,” Church told the crowd, which pushed against the lip of the new venue’s stage and stretched up to the top of the new shed's back walls. “Because after tonight we’re never doing this (bleep) again.” Full of deep cuts, improvisational arrangements, a few lyric slips, a never-before-heard new song and lots of laughs, the set was reminiscent of the solo outing Church played earlier this year in Salt Lake City when most of his band fell ill due to a virus on The Outsiders World Tour. Church built “The Outsider’s Joint” on stage, complete with bars and bartenders, friends and band members seated along his playing…
Eric will be honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum when he becomes the subject of their next cameo exhibition opening Sept. 18. “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider” runs through February 2016 and will spotlight the North Carolina native’s hard-hitting path from a kid with a dream to becoming a multi-Platinum-selling country rocker filling arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums. The display will include guitars, song manuscripts, stage wear, photos and more personally chosen from Church’s collection.
Eric's performance of "Like a Wrecking Ball" on this year's CMT Awards was critically acclaimed as one of the best performances of the evening. His performance video is shooting up the CMT charts, entering the Hot 20 at #17 this week. Watch the video below and vote for Eric in the Hot 20 here.

In addition to his nomination, The Chief will take stage and perform during the awards, live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 10th at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
With a simple yet propitious promise that no two nights will ever be the same, Eric has fans repeatedly coming back for more. Last night's The Outsiders World Tour stop at Lincoln, Nebraska's Pinnacle Bank Arena further proved why the man Stereogum called "our greatest working rock star" has notched his fourth North America venue attendance record of 2015 with 15,823 present--a record previously held by Sir Elton John (November 23, 2014; attendance 14,368).
With his fervent band backing him the majority of the night, Church performed over two hours of original music with hits "Give Me Back My Hometown" and "Smoke A Little Smoke" interspersed by deeper album cuts like "Longer Gone" and "Livin' Part of Life" emerging from his vast arsenal.
"I'm humbled by the success this tour has had," Church adds. "The records it has set, by some of my muses and heroes, it's [all] very…

After announcing a rare solo performance opening Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater show one week ago for Thursday, July 30, ticket on-sales this week swiftly sold out in less than five minutes – too quick, actually, for many of Eric’s own Church Choir to secure seats.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t listen to my fans, and this time they spoke up loud and clear,” shares Church. “I am keeping with the tradition of The Outsiders Tour in that no show will be the same, but I am adding a second night to ensure we can get all our friends in for this performance.”
Ascend Amphitheater has added a second night, Friday, July 31, 2015, with tickets going on sale to general public Thursday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m. CT. General admission pit and reserved seating is priced at $85 and general admission lawn seats are $45. The Pre-sale for the Church Choir will take place on…
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Live Nation announced today that on July 30, Eric will be the inaugural performer for Music City’s new Ascend Amphitheater in Riverfront Park.
Recently ranked No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot Tours chart for his successful “The Outsiders World Tour” which continues through this summer, Eric will give a rare solo concert performance with just his guitar, giving fans a unique experience from when he set a new venue attendance record of 18,441 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena earlier this year in January.
Tickets will go on sale at Ticketmaster next Thursday, Apr. 30 at 10:00 AM (CT). The fan club pre-sale will begin at 10am local time on Tuesday, April 28 on ticketmaster.com.“The newest addition to Music City’s live music scene will get off to a great start with a concert from Eric Church, who represents what’s great about Music City,”…
The Outsiders World Tour is No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Tours recap. Eric scored the top slot over some of music’s biggest pop stars. So far with more than 60 cities, 725,000 tickets, and 3 broken attendance records (where more than 18,000 fans attended each rowdy show).
There are still more than 20 dates left to catch Eric on tour.
