I can't believe I paid the premium price, and to find out I have to stand for 3 hours now. Eric, it's not right.
This concert must be sold out. I bought tickets a month ago and I couldn't find Two tickets available in ANY area. So I guess I'm going alone.

In short, yes...but you have multiple options.
You can (1) purchase a Church Choir membership to get your own unique password now, (2) log into ticketmaster for the presale and be subject to a $15 charge for the presale (which is actually joining you into the Church Choir but through ticketmaster's site rather than EricChurch.com), or (3) wait until the public onsale and purchase tickets.
Note: For some shows there is also a venue presale. Check the venue website/twitter/facebook/box office for more information on that. Venue presales may be noted on ticketmaster's site but you will have to obtain the presale password from the venue itself.
